If you are thinking about leaving an abusive relationship
there is support for you to do so. Inherantly you face the greatest
risk to further harm just prior to and within the first six months of
leaving. Please take the time to complete our Risk
Assessment and
review your safety
planning for you
(or your children). You may want to or need to go into a shelter for
safety and support.
If you do not wish to go into a shelter you may want to review your safety
plan with a Transitional Support Worker and look at the options that will
work best for you and your children. Some reasons women may choose they
do not want to go into a shelter is that they have friends or family to
stay with, they have reviewed their safety with a counsellor and feel
it is safe to stay in their home until they can obtain housing or other
options.
The
first step is to read this information and learn about what is available
to you. All services are free of charge and confidential.
